Dr.in Jean Paul, PhD, BASc, BSc (Hons)

Dr. Jean Paul: Jean.paul@i-med.ac.at
is the Principal Investigator of the Healthy Minds Research at the Medical University of Innsbruck. With expertise in social science and (socio)linguistics, she completed her interdisciplinary PhD at the University of Melbourne, focusing on medical communication in paediatric genetic consultations. Her background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and French. She specializes in implementation science, analyzing clinical decision-making and promoting the adoption of new technologies. With extensive experience in human research ethics, she contributes to project reviews and serves as a review editor for Frontiers in Public Mental Health. Dr. Paul’s qualitative research skills and diverse settings experience make her well-equipped to examine parent-infant-practitioner interactions and facilitate active family involvement in care. She has worked with sensitive populations and engaged with social actors in research, while also playing a key role in promoting community co-designed research through the Patient Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) team.

is a senior physician at the Division of Psychiatry I, Medical University of Innsbruck. Following her Residency Training at the Clinic Beverin in Switzerland, as well as the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Psychosomatics, and the Department of Internal Medicine and Neurology in Innsbruck, she primarily worked at the psychiatric outpatient clinic. With a strong focus on bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, she has actively participated in various clinical trials, specifically exploring emotion recognition and outcomes, and has published extensively in these areas. Additionally, Dr. she lectures and provides guidance to medical students conducting research for their dissertations. Leveraging her 15 years of experience as a psychiatrist, she will contribute her clinical expertise and scientific knowledge to support parents with perinatal mental problems, encompassing mental illness, diagnosis, and therapy. As part of the project team, she is involved in the establishment of an outpatient clinic for perinatal psychosis at the Division of Psychiatry, Medical University of Innsbruck.
Dr.in rer. soc. oec. Ingrid Zechmeister-Koss, MA

has extensive experience in health economics, mental health, and health services research. She worked at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Health Technology Assessment (now Austrian Institute for Health Technology Assessment GmbH / AIHTA) from 2006 to 2015 and since 2018, where she currently leads the research domains of health economics and health services. Alongside her management and strategic responsibilities at AIHTA, she has conducted research in various Austrian research institutes and has practical experience in biomedical sciences and healthcare administration. She holds a Master’s degree in ‘Health Studies and Management’ from the University of Brighton and completed her doctorate study at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She is a co-investigator in the Village project and possesses in-depth knowledge of the Austrian health and social care system, as well as mental health care structures and financing regulations. Her expertise lies in evidence-based medicine, health technology assessment, economic evaluation, and systematic reviews. With her experience in community-academic partnerships and participatory approaches, she is well-equipped to lead the development of new practice approaches and contribute to mental health service planning and evaluation.
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Anna Buchheim,

is a professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Innsbruck. She is the head of the Research Centre “Health and Prevention over the Life Span,” which brings together projects from various departments and experts at the University of Innsbruck and the Medical University Innsbruck. With extensive experience as a clinician and researcher, she specializes in attachment development and disorders. Her research includes clinical trials on premature children, mothers with anxiety disorders, and patients with depression and Borderline personality. She has also developed attachment-based interventions for parents with impaired sensitivity skills. Dr. Buchheim is involved in a consortium studying stress resilience and the transgenerational transmission of childhood maltreatment. She has published numerous articles, lectures, and supervises psychology and medical students. Her clinical and scientific expertise in mental illness, attachment development, diagnostics, and psychotherapy make her a valuable contributor to the field, particularly in supporting individuals with perinatal mental health issues.

is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and client-centered psychotherapist, currently serving as Vice Director at the University Hospital for Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy in Innsbruck. With specialized training in EMDR and mentalization psychotherapy, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and holds leadership roles as Director of the Psychotherapeutic Consultation/Liaison Service and head of the Working Group in Women’s Psychosomatics. Her research focuses on psychosomatic issues in women, including chronic pelvic pain and fertility treatments, as well as the long-term effects of childhood traumatization and domestic violence. She contributes to national and international projects on traumatization and PTSD and is an accomplished author with extensive publications. She is actively involved in professional organizations and serves on the ethics committee at the Medical University Innsbruck.
